If you’re based in the USA, the app will report your test results and personal details to the public health officials in your state. This complies with FDA guidance that all non-laboratory COVID-19 test results must be reported.

On the app, you can choose not to share your location. But we recommend that you allow it so health officials in your state can monitor COVID-19 in your community, or in places you’re visiting.
