When entering their test result on the app, end users are asked to select from a range of options in a dropdown menu. These options are defined by the customer during system set up and are signed off in the Transform Customization Checklist.

The use of the app begins once the testing process has finished and there is a clear result. Ideally, the user will have followed the test manufacturer’s Instructions for Use (IFU) that come in the box and that clearly explain the different types of results and how to interpret them.

When the user doesn’t have the paper-based instructions at hand, there is a shortcut in the app which takes the user to a web product help page that contains links to the test IFU.

Entering the result is done manually by the user on all Transform® applications.

Instructions

Here’s how to navigate the user to the product help page from the app.

Interpreting results

  1. From the ‘Record a test’ screen, click Cancel at the top left OR

  2. Click < Menu from the home screen.

  3. Click App & Product Info. This will open a web page with supporting information and pdf shortcuts to the IFU in English or Spanish which they can access.

  4. Tell them to look for a link with Instructions for Use and open it.

  5. This should open the pdf instructions for them to zoom in and carefully read the section about interpreting results.

  6. If they still cannot interpret their result after reading the IFU, follow approved internal procedures.

  7. If the result is invalid, it still needs to be reported.

Reporting test result on the app

  1. When they have successfully read their result, tell them to continue with the app.

  2. Tap Select a result on the test result field.

  3. Select a result from the listed options.

  4. If they accidentally select the wrong result, they can tap the X in the field to delete selection, and then select again. Or simply tap the field again to select a different result.

  5. Once happy with selection, they can carry on recording an image of the test device by tapping the Take a Photo button on the screen.

  6. Once they have taken a photo and entered the result, the user needs to enter their information. To do this, they move over to the next screen either by swiping left on their screen, or by tapping the Subject tab at the top.

  7. The user needs to complete all the fields under Subject - otherwise, the Submit Test button will remain inactive and greyed out.

  8. Once they have completed all mandatory fields, the Submit Test button becomes clickable and they are able to submit their test.

  9. If the button is still inactive, that means they have missed a field or haven’t taken a photo, so they need to go back and check they’ve completed everything.

  10. Done.
